ECONOMIC CITIZENSHIP PROGRAM OF DOMINICA

Dominica, officially the Commonwealth of Dominica, is located in the middle of the Eastern Caribbean archipelago near Guadeloupe to the northwest and Martinique to the south-southeast. The picturesque island has a 148 kilometer (91 mile) coastal strip and tourism is an important engine for its economy. Dominica's main exports include coffee, cocoa, bananas, citrus and tropical fruits.

Dominica is a member of CARICOM, the Commonwealth, the Organization of American States (OAS) and many other international organizations.

Summary of Citizenship Program for Dominica:

The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica has created an Economic Citizenship Program to channel capital into its national development (funding schools, hospital renovations, a sports stadium, and other public sector projects). The Economic Citizenship Program allows applicants to become citizens of the Commonwealth of Dominica, without a residency requirement. Once Citizenship is granted, passports may be easily obtained.

The criteria for enrollment in the program are:

  • The applicant must be at least 18 years old & possess a valid passport.
  • Applicants must pass a Due Diligence examination, and have no criminal record.
  • Applicants must complete a medical examination.
  • Applicants must make a one-time payment, depending on the number of dependents included in the application, to the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica under the EDF Option starting from US$ 100,000.

OR

  • Applicants must purchase authorized real estate to the minimum value of US$ 200,000 under the real estate option.
  • Payment of Application Fees and Government Fees.

 

Dependents:

Family applications will be considered to include the following family members:

  • A spouse of the main applicant.
  • A child of the main applicant or of his spouse who is less than 18 years of age.
  • A child of the main applicant or of his spouse who is at least 18 years and less than 30 years of age and who is in full time attendance at a recognized institution of higher learning and fully supported by the main applicant.
  • A child of the main applicant or of his spouse who is at least 18 years of age, who is physically or mentally challenged, and who is living with and fully supported by the main applicant.
  • Parents of the main applicant or of his spouse above the age of 55 years living with and fully supported by the main applicant.
